SHIMMERY.

So, that’s been a while again. I’m quite busy lately so I really don’t have the time to do new looks and get in to make up as much as I did before. Shame on me. So I pulled off some green smokey eye (I did a few of those before) but then with my shimmer palette. I find it much easier to blend the shimmery eyeshadow I’m actually amazed by myself why I don’t use it that much. Nothing fancy..just…a green smokey eye. With shimmery eyeshadows.

A few months (I think?) ago I decided to participate to Mien’s make up competition. The theme was “perfume”. As in, the perfume bottles/flacons we all know. I picked Thierry Mugler’s Alien because not only it smells delicious and is one of my personal favorites but it’s a cute bottle!

WOO! It’s been a while. In the meantime I fell in love (eh oh) and went to the Lady Gaga concert in Arnhem, with my friends! It was amazing, what a show! And of course I had to go over the top. We all did!

Okay, so lately I’m into the Sex Pistols. I know, I always discover great bands way too late. Anyways, while listening to Anarchy in the UK, I became a little inspired. So I made this red, white and blue look. Not realising that today it’s Queensday here in Holland, and so it’s also perfect for today!

Okay so. I need to update more, haha. But I’ve been way too busy to even think about my blog. But I did some cool make up. Unfortunately, I got only one photo of each look. Stupid me deleted the rest of the photos of the first look. The second look I did when I was visiting my friend, Annette. We’re both Lady Gaga crazy (Gaga about Gaga!) and we decided to do some serious heavy make up that day. I ended up doing the “Telephone” look, which everyone did. Not the blue one, the other one. You know which.
WELL, now comes the part: I tried to make gradient lips on both looks.

SO! In the meantime I had my “first real” photoshoot. As in, doing make up on someone else than myself. One of my best friends Nicky is currently studying photography. And she’s getting pretty damn good at it! She’s into fashion photography, what means: real models and lots of crazy make up. Nicky invited me to do the make up on Sabine. It didn’t expect it to be easy and it wasn’t. I’m used to my own face of course, and while I got big eyes, Sabine has got little eyes. But I managed to create something dark, goth and pretty evil. Which was our intention because Nicky wanted to a fairytale. Instead of Little RED Riding Hood we created Little BLACK Riding Hood.

Okay so the whole YouTube & make up community did do this “Telephone” look and so did I. Why give a shit? It looks different on everyone. As you can see, I didn’t quite pull it off like Gaga did but that’s mainly because I have a different eyeshape. So here’s my version! Enough said.

Okay, a lot has happened in my life but that doesn’t keep me from playing with my make up. I wanted to give my Barry M Fine Glitterdust in Opal another chance. It seems you need some mixing medium or something like lash glue to make the glitter actually STICK. They just fall off and …dissapear. What a shame. Well, another green look:

The sun was finally shining so I decided to go for something bright. I LOVE the winter and HATE people (here in the Netherlands for example!) nagging about it. But I do think the snow needs to be gone. We’ve had enough.

The Ballad of Chasey Lain is a (funny) song by the BloodHound Gang. And it inspired me, while listening. I liked to do something with a cutcrease, false lashes…big, everything. Pornstar like..;)? I know I’m not the only one getting inspiration from this. …Actually, I got my inspiration from miss Gaga again but while listening to the BloodHound Gang I figured this might look like something tranny / pornstar inspired. In this case it isn’t…but it could be! Savvy? It’s my first cut crease, so be please..be gentle ;D…
