Okay, so lately I’m into the Sex Pistols. I know, I always discover great bands way too late. Anyways, while listening to Anarchy in the UK, I became a little inspired. So I made this red, white and blue look. Not realising that today it’s Queensday here in Holland, and so it’s also perfect for today!

LITTLE BLACK RIDING HOOD.

SO! In the meantime I had my “first real” photoshoot. As in, doing make up on someone else than myself. One of my best friends Nicky is currently studying photography. And she’s getting pretty damn good at it! She’s into fashion photography, what means: real models and lots of crazy make up. Nicky invited me to do the make up on Sabine. It didn’t expect it to be easy and it wasn’t. I’m used to my own face of course, and while I got big eyes, Sabine has got little eyes. But I managed to create something dark, goth and pretty evil. Which was our intention because Nicky wanted to a fairytale. Instead of Little RED Riding Hood we created Little BLACK Riding Hood.

What makes my hair so darn red.

Okay, I decided to make a blogpost about the hairdye I use. Seriously. I cannot even TELL you how many times I get asked which hairdye I use. When I’m walking, shopping, even when I’m in the gym. When I’m in a freaking rollercoaster, when I’m going out, when I’m sitting at my hairdresser, when I’m swimming. Even the MUA at one MAC counter and Body Shop store asked me and …as I said: I cannot even tell you how many people ask me.
First of all, I get a lot of compliments but most women/girls tell me “how do you keep it so BRIGHT red?”. Well, it’s nothing more than my usual hairdye. And they don’t believe. I understand because most red hair dyes will only last for 2 or 3 weeks and than fade to a copper or even pink color. Other hairdyes fade to brown or are just not THAT bright shade you want. Next to that we have the semi-permanent hair dyes, like Special Effects (Which I recommend! Those bottles are just the best of what you can get out the semi-permanent range of hair dyes!), Stargazer, Manic Panic, etc.
But that’s not it. The only thing I use is this:
It’s the LK Millennium Hi-Red Mix in 00555 (RED). It’s a permanent hair dye from Lisap Milano.
This is what I use and nothing more.

Another old look – cardinal’s bird

WOO! Another one. I entered another contest a while ago (on the Lushious Beauty Talk forum again!) with this one…and guess what? I won! I won the Mac Brave New Bronze lipstick, woohoo. We had to be inspired (and choose) an animal and create a look with it. I chose the cardinal’s bird.
